NEW ZANZIBAR BUSINESS & PROPERTY REGISTRATION FEES NOW IN EFFECT

Effective from July 18, 2025
The Government of Zanzibar has published the Zanzibar Business and Property Registration

Agency (Fees and Charges) Regulations under the Zanzibar Government Gazette Vol. CXXXIV No. 7369.

Key highlights include:
Revised fees for patents, utility model certificates, trademarks, industrial designs, and
geographical indications

Clear penalties for failure to maintain beneficial ownership registers

Updated charges related to movable security transactions, opposition filings, assignments, and agent registration
